i am amazed by what nature tells us if we listen. your photograph tells me you are listening. in the lines, textures, tones - there is such awesome beingness, isn't there? there's a kind of bliss to be garnered in touching the most humble of things which are so intricate and precise. that we have any questions at all is foolish and that we ever feel unwell is unimaginable when we allow ourselves into the presence of such grace.
(yesterday in the cold, and i mean bitter cold, i paid attention to the contours of snow fields and banks, to trees and light. my singularity disappeared. i felt in the presence of the whole world.)
